Having already announced their 2nd show in Sydney for Saturday July 24 after selling out their July 25 Civil Society is proud to announce the Australian tour supports for the Grizzly Bear tour. Supporting Grizzly Bear in Sydney and in Melbourne will be the quirky pop five-piece from Brooklyn Here We Go Magic. They will also be joined by local support Kid Sam.
Unforeseen circumstances having resulted in Here We Go Magic postponing their June tour, it is with great excitement that we are able to announce they will now be part of the Grizzly Bear tour. The two acts have previously toured together through North American and Europe.
HWGM will join the Brooklyn neighbours, Grizzly Bear as they once more mesmerize Australian audiences with their breathtaking seductive music at three very special nights beneath the soaring prosceniums of Palais Theatre in Melbourne and the Enmore Theatre in Sydney.
Rounding out this stellar bill will be Melbourne’s Kid Sam with their distinct brand of subversive folk. The two piece of cousins Kishore Ryan and Kieran Ryan released their extraordinary debut self-titled LP in 2010, and we’re nominated for not only a J Award but also the Australian Music Prize.
Grizzly Bear, having sold out their debut tour in a matter of moments with performances in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, along with appearances as part of the Sydney Festival, Falls Festivals, Southbound and Sunset Sounds, have already astounded Australian audiences with their stunning performance. Those lucky enough to secure a ticket to the shows witnessed to one of the year’s most exhilarating performances, as these New York gentlemen indulged audiences with the beautifully layered sounds and effortlessly showed why they’ve become the most talked about Indie band in the world.
