Civil Society is Inertia’s Sydney based touring division and commenced operations in 2006.
Since its inception Civil Society has toured acts through Australia and New Zealand from a wide spectrum of musical styles the likes of whom have included; Grizzly Bear, The xx, Dandy Warhols, Sia, The National, Santigold, Pink Martini, Metric, Cinematic Orchestra, Spank Rock, !!! (Chk Chk Chk), Pendulum, Ladytron, The Cribs, Tunng, A Place To Bury Strangers, Prefuse 73 and more.
Civil Society arranges and provides full service tours for overseas artist, including travel (both international and local), permits and visas, accommodation, venue booking and production, tour management, marketing and promotion.
Civil Society works with all major music and arts festivals in Australia and New Zealand Civil Society prides itself on its ability to place acts and music in front of the broadest crowds possible.
Civil Society’s directors Ashley Sellers and Colin Daniels oversee the strategic direction and acquisition of all Civil Society tours.
Dave Benge and Chris Twite are Civil Society’s Tour Co-ordinators working day to day on tour acquisition and co-ordination.
Gareth Stuckey is Civil Society’s Operations co-ordinator advancing tours, production and logistics.
Combined they have professional backgrounds in business management, touring, event production, venue management, A&R , publicity & promotion, marketing, tour management and are all wildly passionate about great music.
